Well, I'm a few thousand words behind right now because my dad was in town over the weekend. I haven't seen him in 6 years, so it was important to spend some time with him. Also, a client needed an emergency writing project done at the last minute... and well? I'm poor and needed the money. When I need to catch up, my first choice is always word wars, but marathon sessions serve me well also. I just pour myself some wine or tea (whichever I'm in the mood for) and go all night!

I went to a little writing session at a Starbucks tonight and got a TON done. Almost 3k. It's amazing how much better you can concentrate when you know there's other people around who will be judging you if you're not writing. :)

I've had a cold for the past week and am probably over 10,000 words behind. No biggie, though, this happens every year. I do Write or Die marathons for about 2000 words at a time.
